Endings and Beginnings
Book ticketsOrganised by:
Psychoanalysis Unit, University College London, UK
Description
About the conference
All living things have finite lifespans. Human beings are no exception. What marks us out is self-awareness. Developmental phases and the generations extend and overlap. Yet, birth remains the prototype for a new beginning, as death does for an ending. The feelings evoked by these, the geological facts of life, have truly enormous power. Every birth signifies previous births, every loss, final loss.
This UCL Conference examines the psychology of beginnings and endings in psychoanalytic depth.
Speakers include:
Starting out in Life
Becky Hall (Association of Child Psychotherapists and British Psychoanalytic Association, UK)
The Echo of Time in Analysis
