New Associations: Writing for publication workshop
Book ticketsOrganised by:
The British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC)
Description
Join the new Editors of New Associations to learn more about contributing to the magazine. Noreen Giffney and Emmanuelle Smith will talk through how to turn an idea into an article or review, and how to do this with an emphasis on psychoanalysis.
New Associations includes articles, interviews, and reviews that bring psychoanalytic and psychodynamic thinking to social, cultural, and political issues, while interrogating psychoanalysis itself as an object and a practice. The magazine also addresses topics relating to clinical practice and the profession, particularly with regards to the interrelation between what goes on inside the consulting room and the psychosocial context. The magazine is published by the British Psychoanalytic Council and includes over 2,500 subscribers in the UK and around the world. Issues are available on the BPC’s website to download for free, one year after publication.
This workshop is designed for people thinking about putting their psychoanalytic expertise into writing for the magazine, particularly people who have not written for New Associations in the past or people who are considering writing for publication for the first time.
The workshop is open to all and will be conducted online. Places are limited so book yours as soon as possible.
