Projective Identification with David Smart
Book tickets
Description
Are you interested in the interactions between the inner and external worlds?
Do you want to increase your understanding of what clients are splitting off/disowning and how projected aspects of themselves might be reintegrated?
Would you like to recognise ethical and technical issues, e.g. in relation to enactments?
By the end of the workshop you can expect:
- To have a better understanding of how early patterns of behaviour are acted out inside and outside the consulting room/therapeutic setting.
- To gain a greater appreciation of the anxieties that fuel dysfunctional defences.
- To gain an enhanced theoretical and technical grounding in addressing splitting and projection.
- To start developing an enhanced capacity to contain the feelings and impulses stirred up in practitioners by projective identification.
