Organised by:
School of Infant Mental Health
Description
Everyone who works with children has a responsibility for keeping them safe
- No single professional can have a full picture of a child’s needs and circumstances. Everyone has a role to play in identifying concerns, sharing information and taking prompt action
- Any professional with concerns about a child’s welfare should make a referral to local authority children’s social care
- Effective safeguarding are child centred. It is important not to lose sight of the needs and views of the child, or place the interests of the adults ahead of child’s.
