The renowned actor Simon Russell Beale, who has played many of Shakespeare’s main characters and is also well known from his role in The Lehman Trilogy, and Erica Whyman, acting artistic director at the Royal Shakespeare Company, will be in dialogue with the psychoanalyst Dr David Bell, who, alongside a wide range of publications on psychoanalytic theory and practice, has been particularly interested in psychoanalytic thinking about arts and culture.

The event will be chaired by psychoanalyst Susan Godsil, who also has a particular interest in the application of psychoanalysis to arts, theatre and music.
