Beth Brown

About Beth Brown
I am a child and family psychodynamic psychotherapist (accredited by the British Psychoanalytic Council and Tavistock Society of Psychotherapists member) offering a range of short and long-term talking and play-based therapies to children, young people and families. This includes offering sessions to individuals as well as parent-child, parent, and family sessions, either face-to-face or online.
I have worked as a therapist in the private sector for over eight years, offering therapeutic support to children, young people, parents and families in the local community; both voluntary and privately.
I also have over fourteen years of experience working within the public sector supporting children and young people's social, emotional and mental health. This has involved working with children & young people, parents/carers, schools, other professionals and agencies, to support children and young people's academic, social and emotional development. I have a broad experience of working with children and young people who have a range of diagnoses including: Autism, PDA, ADHD, ODD, insecure attachment, sensory processing difficulties, speech and language difficulties, hearing impairment and global delay. In addition, I also have experience of supporting children who are looked after in foster-care placements and those who are post-adoption. This work has provided me with the privilege of working with clients of a variety of ages, cultures, race, religions and sexual orientations all of which are respected.
Please note: I am currently offering online therapy options only.
