Karen Watson

I am a qualified Adult Psychodynamic Psychotherapist and work to the Code of Ethics of my Professional Standards Authority Register. I hold Professional Indemnity Insurance.

I have extensive experience working as an Adult Psychotherapist within NHS Secondary Care, University Counselling Services offering time limited therapy to students, and at WPF London clinic both person to person and online via Zoom. I currently have my own private practice in Midhurst, West Sussex and work weekly with a Sussex based University Counselling Department.

I have special interests in childhood trauma and have learnt from experience the impact this can have upon our everyday lives, often without awareness or understanding.
We are often unaware of the issues that are affecting us day to day - it can be past trauma such as abuse, neglect, physical or psychological. Perhaps an acute event such as loss which has happened recently is impacting you now. Being able to reflect on the past and the present in a safe environment can bring enormous relief and freedom.
