I am a qualified psychotherapist and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I have experience of working with a variety of clients within an NSH setting, a drug and alcohol charity, a GP surgery and in private practice. I also worked for a number of years as a ChildLine volunteer counsellor.
It can feel like a big step to start therapy and you may feel apprehensive about making contact, this is a normal concern. At times people may feel that their distress is not big enough to warrant help. You do not need to have had a major trauma or suffer from depression to have therapy. It can be something as simple as a nagging feeling that things are not right in your life or perhaps you are engaging in unhealthy relationship patterns which you cannot make sense of.
