I am a BPC accredited psychodynamic counsellor working with adults in private practice and was a staff counsellor at the Gloucestershire Counselling Service. I am based in the North Cotswolds and my consulting room is close to Moreton in Marsh.

I believe that counselling offers an opportunity to talk about the issues you are struggling with in a safe and confidential space with someone who is experienced and trained to listen to you. We are all individuals and people come to counselling for a variety of different reasons. It can be helpful to share your thoughts and feelings with a counsellor who is non-judgemental and will work with you to think together about the problems you are facing or the issues that you are trying to make sense of.

I am experienced in helping clients with a variety of issues including stress, depression, anxiety, work or relationship-related problems and trauma. I offer one to one counselling on a once or twice weekly basis. Counselling can be open-ended or time-limited. You can either agree a set number of counselling sessions at the outset and focus on a particular issue or begin counselling and see how you progress before deciding how long you wish to continue. You determine the pace of counselling and we can regularly review your progress and your thoughts and feelings about the work we do together.

At your first session I would like us to meet for an initial assessment. This is an opportunity for you to see if you feel that we would be able to work together and to ask me any questions you may have about counselling. It is also an opportunity for me to understand what has brought you to counselling at this point in your life and of your expectations for the work.
