Psychotherapy helps to identify past life experiences including traumatic events and adverse situations and the impact (such as pain, loneliness, shame, loss, guilt etc.) they have on us throughout our lives and in the present day.

Through explorations of our past painful/negative experiences, it can lead to shifts in the way we think and understand our emotions/experiences as well as how we respond to others and situations in our lives thus enabling us to move away from unhealthy patterns that no longer serve us to a new way of seeing things..

As well as working in private practice, I currently work as an Honorary Adult Psychotherapist at the South London and Mausdley Hospital (SLAM) in the perinatal team. I have also worked in different settings in the NHS for over 20 years and have an extensive experience working with children under the age of 5 years old. I am also interested in working with parents/carers during the perinatal period in particular those transitioning to parenthood and are experiencing psychological and mental ill health difficulties.

Looking for someone to help and support can be a daunting experience. If you need help with any psychological and mental health difficulties, I offer confidential and empathetic safe space where things can be explored and thought about. Crucial to my work is the importance of working within the context of a therapeutic relationship which serves as the foundation of an effective therapy.
