Consultant Psychiatrist in Medical Psychotherapy in the NHS for 22 years, where I lead a Psychotherapy Service providing psychotherapy assessment for complex cases, individual and group psychodynamic psychotherapy, training, teaching and supervising individual psychodynamic psychotherapy. I had a broad Psychotherapy training in the NHS providing individual and group psychodynamic psychotherapy in outpatient and inpatient therapeutic community settings for the treatment of personality disorder and emotional disturbance. Research in psychotherapy outcome and attachment patterns in patients and prisoners.
My interests and experience are in emotional and developmental disorders; relationship difficulties; depression; trauma; refugees; perinatal disorder including post-natal depression, and psycho-somatic disorders.
