I am a qualified Psychodynamic Counsellor working with adults, either in person or remotely, in the centre of Bath. I offer once weekly, 50-minute counselling sessions where two people can encounter each other to speak and listen. This hopefully will allow you to begin to articulate your distress—anxiety, depression, questions about (gender) identity—your desires, and your joys. Speaking freely in a confidential setting, saying whatever comes to mind without specific goals, without worrying about being hurtful, inconvenient or inappropriate to someone who is present and listening can allow us to hear ourselves differently. This can then lead to a loosening of fixations, enlarged possibilities or increased spontaneity and growth.

I offer open-ended counselling but recognise that there can be external constraints which mean that brief (time-limited) therapy might be desirable. I have ‘near-native’ fluency in German.
