Pamela Hampton
Psychodynamic Psychotherapist
About Pamela Hampton
I offer a safe and confidential space in the centre of Bristol to explore whatever is on your mind. I offer 1 or 2 sessions weekly, for 50 minutes, primarily in person. I can also offer telephone and online sessions if needed.
I work with adults from diverse backgrounds and identities. I use a variety of psychotherapeutic ideas but primarily bring commitment to cultural sensitivity and social justice to my work, respecting that our lives are connected to and shaped by multiple and intersecting influences.
My therapeutic style is accepting, and collaborative. I value helping others find their own voice and understandings to the reasons for seeking therapy.
I work with a wide range of needs and difficulties, but I have a special interest and experience in identity, gender, class, sexuality, HIV, immigration, criminality, domestic violence, Covid-19, depression, loss & grief, adoption, attachment, family relationships, rape, sexual abuse, complex and developmental trauma, anxiety, mental health and diagnoses.
