Patrick Halcrow
Child, Young Person and Family Psychodynamic Psychotherapist
About Patrick Halcrow
I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist working with children and young people from birth until the age of 25. I also work with parents, families and educational settings.
I offer a safe, reliable and confidential therapy room in Norwich City Centre (NR2). I have availability on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons / early evenings. I work in a child-led and age-appropriate way, assessing and supporting the whole child, through a combination of talking, play and drawing. I work alongside parents to help them understand their child's problems and reach their parenting goals.
I completed masters training at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust and am a member of the Tavistock Society of Psychotherapists. Prior to setting up my private practice in Norwich I worked in two different NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Heath Services (CAMHS). I am also a registered Educational Psychologist and have 15 years of experience supporting children, families and schools. I have particular experience in working with children experiencing anxiety or low-mood, problems with feeding or eating, aggression and anger, in foster care or adoption placements, with neurodevelopmental differences such as autism, loss of parent via death or divorce, trauma, difficulties in school or learning, differences in gender or sexual identity.
