Maria Heitman-Dimmick

Maria is an experienced Psychodynamic counsellor and holds registered membership.

Maria began her training whilst working for a charity which provided open ended counselling with adults. This experience extended to then working within a charity with youths aged 18 years and above and often involved working with the client on more of a short term basis. Maria has worked with people experiencing a range of issues such as anxiety, low mood, trauma, adoption, abuse, anger, suicidal thoughts and issues around eating.

Maria had a particular interest in working within the perinatal period.

BACP/BPC Accredited Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling.

BACP – Accredited WPF Certificate in Psychodynamic Counselling Theory and Skills.

Certificate in Assessment training -Alton Counselling service.

Perinatal and infant mental health awareness training- IHV (Institute of Health Visiting)

Post qualifying certificate in ‘working with Trauma’ CPD
