Philip Faulkner

Psychodynamic Organisational Therapist

About Philip Faulkner

I am a Consultant Psychodynamic Organisational Therapist and a qualified social worker. My career spans thirty years, during which time I have led and consulted to organisations providing care, education and therapy for children, young adults and families. This has involved promoting milieu therapeutic environments, where child and carer experiences can be thought about, understood and looked after through the interplay of relationships within families and the professional network. These experiences often take place in complex or difficult circumstances, and I have supported whole networks to become more attuned to this interplay; enabling a deeper understanding of childhood trauma-related attachment difficulties, and providing a relational toolkit of supportive approaches. My aim is to help restore a sense of containment and hope in which carer’s are resilient and children thrive.

Professional Interests:
Complex developmental trauma, mental health, autism and learning disability, group facilitation and organisational dynamics, therapeutic communities and social pedagogy.
