Couple Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist, Psychodynamic Psychotherapist
About Martha Doniach
I am trained to work with individuals, couples, and families, and I work full-time in private practice. I have spent over 30 years in the field of mental health. Initially, I trained as a social worker, counsellor, and family therapist before completing psychodynamic and psychoanalytic psychotherapy training. I worked for 20 years in the NHS, 15 of which were in an NHS hospital outpatient psychotherapy service, where I held the position of Lead for Specialist Psychological Psychotherapies. I am a visiting clinician and lecturer at the British Psychotherapy Foundation (BPF) and Tavistock Relationships. I supervise and consult with several organisations, including the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust. I am on the International Journal of Couple and Family Psychoanalysis editorial board. My private practice is in central London, where I see adults, couples and supervisees in person. I also work on line.
