About Susan Whitby
I am a psychoanalytic psychotherapist and DIT therapist with 25 years of clinical experience, including 15 years in the NHS working as a psychotherapist.
I have worked with a wide range of people of different ages, backgrounds and beliefs. I have a particular interest in supporting people going through difficult key transition points in life, such as coping with loss/trauma, career changes, long term health diagnoses, new parenthood, empty nests, divorce.
I have also worked with International Students from Europe, North America and South East Asia during transitional times.
I am a member of the UKCP United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy, where I qualified in 1997. In addition, I am a qualified Supervisor with BAPPS. I am governed by the standards of conduct, performance and ethics of UKCP and BAPPS. I also hold an updated DBS Enhanced Certificate for working with Adults and Children, re-issued annually.
