About Sue Gessler
I am a clinical psychologist and DIT therapist with over 30 years of clinical experience in the NHS as a consultant clinical psychologist, and in private psychotherapy practice. I have always employed a wide range of therapeutic approaches to suit the individual.
I have experience of working with a wide range of people and beliefs as they face challenges and crises in their lives, especially loss, anxiety and trauma. I have particular experience in the psychological impact of medicine and surgery, as well as the impact of genetic risk. This can cover post natal issues, post-surgical trauma and issues relating to disease and its aftermath.
I have taught at University College London and supervise clinical psychologists, and doctors on the emotional impact of their work.
I am a chartered clinical psychologist within the British Psychological Society, regulated by the HCPC and registered with the BPC as an accredited DIT therapist.
