About Carla Vianello
I am a psychological therapist working both in the NHS and in private practice. I have worked within the NHS since 2008 as part of Talking Therapies services in primary care as well as within the Neuropsychiatry service at St George's Hospital.
I am qualified in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Behavioural Couples therapy, Counselling & Psychotherapy, Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR).
I am accredited with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP), registered with the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and am a kite marked DIT practitioner with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC).
Some of the presenting difficulties I work with include Depression, Low Self-Esteem, Long Term Health Conditions, Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), Body Dysmorphic Disorder, Relationship Difficulties, Emotional Dysregulation, Bulimia, Trichotillomania, Childhood Trauma and Anxiety (including Generalised Anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Social Phobia, Port Traumatic Stress Disorder, Health Anxiety, Panic & Agoraphobia, Specific Phobias).
I aim to provide a safe space for people to start exploring and working through difficulties in their life by gaining a greater understanding of themselves and their relationships with others. I work together with clients to help make sense of their situation, developing an individual treatment plan to facilitate changes within their life.
