About Selina Horsham
I am a Clinical Psychologist & MBT Practitioner, specialising in parent, infant and child assessments, intervention and supporting parents and young people with complex trauma experiences. Currently I work in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service.
Previously, I worked for a trauma informed Women's and Children's charity where my main role was to conduct Parenting Assessments and interventions for a Family Centre, and providing support to staff including training, reflective practice, and supervision.
Prior to this, I worked for over 10 years in the NHS, specialising in the areas of Learning Disabilities, Positive Behavioural Support Coaching, Mental Health, Risk & Personality Disorders. Working in these areas, I provided individual and group therapy to patients, individual and teams supervisions, consultation, and training to staff.
I am an accredited Parental Embodied Mentalizing (PEM™) assessor with Reflective Practice and Certification (2022). Also, trained in AMBIT (Adaptive Mentalization Based Integrative Treatment) for Children and Young People’s Crisis Workforce and Motivational Interviewing & Mentalizing in crisis care. I also hold The Cardiff University Bond Solon (CUBS) Expert Witness Family Certificate (2022).
For 10 years I have worked alongside experts by experience co-facilitating training on the Knowledge and Understanding Framework for Personality disorder (KUF PD). Since 2018 I have co-facilitated the KUF training for staff working on the Offender Personality Disorder Pathway in the Southwest.
Throughout my career I have supported learners in practice and have many years experiences in a supervisory role to staff and psychologists as well as teaching on psychodynamic approaches at the University.
I am registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council as a Clinical Psychologist (PYL26030). I am governed by the standards of conduct, performance, and ethics of these bodies. I also hold an updated DBS Enhanced Certificate for working with Adults and Children, re-issued annually.
