Prospex is grassroots, Islington-North London-based youth charity, supporting young people aged 8-21 whose life chances are affected through measures outside their control; poverty, social deprivation, high unemployment, and crime. Founded in 2001, the organisation works to address these negative influences, often resulting in low self-esteem and poor school attendance, leading to limited employment prospects. Through the provision of positive relationships together with transferable life and employability skills, young people can broaden their horizons outside the limits of their existing thinking and are given the tools to achieve their goals.

Prospex already provides some psychotherapeutic support through linked organisations, but we have obtained 5 years funding to make much needed in-house provision.

We have recently acquired a space close to the Youth Centre for psychotherapy sessions to take place and have a space for art therapy.
