Young Person’s Psychotherapist fixed term maternity cover

Single Homeless Project's in house psychotherapy has secured further funding to provide psychotherapy/counselling and psycho-educational groups for young people (16-25 years old) who are using SHP's accommodation and support provision. The post provides a psychologically informed service to young people and the care teams who support them.

We are currently looking to recruit a young person's psychotherapist for 6 months maternity cover, who will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team offering in person interventions which are preventions focused rather than crisis management. This will include both individual psychotherapy and psychoeducation group work, which will be co-produced, informative and enlightening on bio-social-physiological responses to trauma; for example abusive relationships, racism and poverty.

It is highly likely this contract will be extended to 12 months after internal funding decisions have been made, this cannot be confirmed at this time but will be discussed further in interview with any shortlisted candidates.
